A 27-0 shutout delivered NBC’s lowest NFL numbers of the season.
The Week 6 Giants/Eagles Sunday Night Football game drew a 10.8 final rating and 18.1 million viewers on NBC, down 15% in ratings and 18% in viewership from Washington/Cowboys last year (12.7, 22.1M) and down 8% and 9%, respectively, from Packers/Texans in 2012 (11.8, 19.9M).
The Eagles’ blowout win ranks as the lowest rated and least-viewed SNF telecast of the season. The previous lows were set just a week earlier by the Patriots’ blowout of the Bengals (11.7, 19.4M).
Despite the lower numbers, Giants/Eagles still outperformed all-but-one Thursday Night Football game this season — the Steelers/Ravens premiere in Week 2 (12.7, 20.8M).
Among adults 18-49, Sunday’s game had a 6.6 rating — down 21% from last year (8.4) and down 14% from 2012 (7.7).
