- Jay Mariotti: The former Chicago Sun-Times columnist and current AOL Fanhouse writer is rumored to be heading to the Chicago Tribune, reports Deadspin. Mariotti is set to join “the Trib-owned “Chicago Now” blog operation,” once his Sun-Times non-compete clause expires in August. There is no word on whether Mariotti will remain at Fanhouse.
- Chris Marlowe and Paul Sunderland: The duo will call the AVP Coney Island Open on NBC this weekend, marking the first time since the ’00 Olympics that they have called volleyball action together. Marlowe and Sunderland called their first match together in ’85, after winning a gold medal together at the ’84 Olympics.
