For the third straight year, ESPN will have its Mike and Mike in the Morning duo call a Monday Night Football game.
Mike Greenberg, Mike Golic and Steve Young will be in the booth for Chargers/Raiders on September 14, the second game of a season-opening Monday Night Football doubleheader. This marks the third time Greenberg and Golic have called an MNF telecast.
In addition to Monday Night Football, Greenberg and Golic were previously the lead broadcast team for Arena Football League telecasts on ESPN and ABC.
While Greenberg and Golic have been the alternate Monday Night Football team for three straight years — partly due to the crosspromotional opportunities, no doubt — the generally praised ’06 Brad Nessler/Dick Vermeil/Ron Jaworski team called just one game together.
