This marks the 14th time in 21 games that FOX has failed to draw at least a 2.0 rating for MLB coverage. Through Saturday, FOX is averaging a 1.9 rating for MLB coverage, down 10% from last year.
- CBS drew mixed numbers for NFL preseason coverage over the weekend. Friday’s Patriots/Washington game drew a 4.1/8 final rating and 6.3 million viewers, up 28% in ratings and 31% in viewers from a 3.2/6 and 4.8 million for the net’s first preseason game last year (Texans/Cowboys). Meanwhile, Saturday’s Chargers/Falcons game drew a 2.7/5 and 4.2 million viewers, down 4% and 2%, respectively, from a 2.8/5 and 4.3 million for last year’s Steelers/Vikings tilt.
- The August 24 episode of The T.O. Show drew 1.7 million viewers, making the episode the second-most program on the week on VH1. Through six episodes, The T.O. Show has averaged 1.5 million viewers on VH1.
