Overnights for the PGA Tour at Bay Hill were the highest in three years, but among the lowest since the 1990s.
Final round coverage of the PGA Tour Arnold Palmer Invitational drew a 2.1 overnight rating on NBC Sunday afternoon, up 17% from last year (1.8), up 24% from rainout coverage in 2013 (1.7), and the highest in three years — since Tiger Woods‘ victory in 2012 (4.8).
Despite the three-year high, the 2.1 overnight is tied as the third-lowest for final round coverage at Bay Hill since at least 1996 (overnights prior to 1997 were not available). Only coverage last year and in 2010 (1.6) earned a lower overnight.
On Saturday, third round action drew a 1.3 overnight — up a tick from last year (1.2) but down 46% from 2013 (2.4). The 1.3 is the second-lowest for third round coverage since at least 1998 (overnights prior to 1999 were not available).
