Tracy McGrady to Serve as TNT Analyst Next Week
- Former Magic G Tracy McGrady will join TNT’s NBA studio show next Tuesday, his first appearance as an analyst for the network. McGrady, who will work alongside host Matt Winer and analysts Shaquille O’Neal and Isiah Thomas, has made previous appearances on NBA TV studio shows and the Open Court series. (Turner Sports)
Sobel Returns to ESPN
- Former ESPN golf writer Jason Sobel has rejoined the company as a writer for ESPN Digital and Print Media, including ESPN the Magazine and ESPN.com. Sobel, who previously worked for ESPN from 2004 to 2011, spent the past four years working for Golf Channel. He will cover next week’s Masters Tournament along with Bob Harig and Michael Collins. Fox Sports Seeks Horowitz
- Fox Sports has made a “formal offer” to former ESPN executive Jamie Horowitz to run the network’s studio programming, Sports Business Journal reported this week. Horowitz, who launched the ESPN2 debate show First Take during his tenure with ESPN, is said to be mulling the offer. After leaving ESPN last year, Horowitz joined NBC News to run The Today Show but was fired before a single day on the job. (Sports Business Journal)
