NBCSN continues to generate the largest Premier League audiences ever on U.S. cable TV.
Sunday’s Arsenal/Chelsea English Premier League match drew 979,000 viewers on NBCSN Sunday morning, up 85% from Crystal Palace/Manchester City in the same window last year (528K), and the fourth-largest audience ever for the Premier League on U.S. cable television.
Three of the five largest audiences have taken place in the last five weeks, including a record 1.1 million for the Manchester Derby earlier this month. Overall, six of the ten largest EPL audiences on cable have taken place this season alone.
Of note, viewership for the match topped every first round NHL playoff game on NBCSN through Monday, edging Sunday’s playoff-high 971,000 for Canadiens/Senators Game 6.
