ESPN appears intent on squashing any headline-grabbing claims of a mass exodus.
ESPN announced Friday that it has reached multi-year contract extensions with Los Angeles-based SportsCenter anchors Neil Everett and Stan Verrett. The duo, both of which have been with ESPN since 2000, will continue to host the overnight editions of SportsCenter.
Everett and Verrett are just the latest ESPN personalities to reach extensions with the network. Already, ESPN has extended NFL studio hosts Trey Wingo and Suzy Kolber, play-by-play voice Beth Mowins and radio host Ryen Russillo. SportsCenter anchors Jay Crawford and Kevin Connors are also reportedly returning to the network.
The spate of extensions — which does not even include Scott Van Pelt‘s extension in May — comes amid the noteworthy departures of Bill Simmons, Keith Olbermann and Colin Cowherd.
