Premier Boxing Champions Mixed on CBS
- Last Sunday’s edition of the Premier Boxing Champions series on CBS drew a 0.7 final rating and 1.1 million viewers, down a tick in ratings but up 2% in viewership from the network’s previous PBC telecast in July (0.8, 1.1M). The telecast ranks fourth out of the seven afternoon PBC windows this year. (Nielsen)
Double-Digit Gains For NASCAR Xfinity Series at Darlington
- NASCAR Xfinity Series racing from Darlington drew 1.2 final rating and 1.7 million viewers on NBC last Saturday afternoon, up 20% in ratings and 13% in viewership from last year’s Labor Day weekend race from Atlanta, which aired on ESPN2 (1.0, 1.5M). Compared to last year’s Darlington race, which took place on a Friday night in April, ratings and viewership increased by 20% and 21%, respectively, from a 1.0 and 1.4 million on ESPN2. The race peaked with a 1.3 and 2.0 million viewers from 5-5:15 PM ET. (NBC Sports)
Big Drop For CFB on FS1 Thursday
- Thursday’s Louisiana Tech/Western Kentucky college football game drew 232,000 viewers on Fox Sports 1, down 45% from Arizona/Texas-San Antonio last year (425K) but up 28% from Florida Atlantic/East Carolina in 2013 (181K). All three games aired opposite NFL opening night. This year’s game, it should be noted, was called remotely by the FS1 studio team. (via Sports TV Ratings)
