- Steve Ellis: The Tallahassee Democrat sportswriter passed away on Thursday after suffering a massive heart attack earlier in the month. Ellis, 54, suffered the heart attack while writing an article from his home office. Amazingly, he insisted that his wife “e-mail the story to the newspaper before he would let her call 911.” Ellis had been with the Democrat for 30 years. (Tallahassee Democrat)
