President Bush might be wise to avoid Sunday Night Football.

Former SportsCenter anchor and current host of Countdown on MSNBC Keith Olbermann has joined the cast of Football Night in America, starting this upcoming season.

“Keith Olbermann has been named co-host of NBC?s ?Football Night in America? studio show, joining host Bob Costas and co-host Cris Collinsworth, and analysts Jerome Bettis and Tiki Barber. This will be Olbermann?s first network sports assignment in six years.“

The last time Olbermann participated in a weekly sports assignment was for FOX (ironically), where he was the studio host for Major League Baseball telecasts. Since leaving FOX, Olbermann has become a well-known name politically, for his emotionally-charged essays denouncing the current Bush administration and his feud with FOX News host Bill O’Reilly.
