NASCAR’s Duel at Daytona attracted its smallest audience since moving to primetime three years ago.
The NASCAR Duel at Daytona scored a 1.6 final rating and 2.5 million viewers on Fox Sports 1 Thursday night, down 11% in ratings and 16% in viewership from last year (1.8, 3.0M) and down 16% and 18%, respectively, from 2014 (1.9, 3.1M).
Ratings and viewership rank as the lowest for the event since 2013, the final time it aired during the afternoon (1.3, 2.0M).
Despite the declines, the telecast finished comfortably ahead of TNT’s NBA doubleheader — Cavaliers/Bulls (1.3, 1.9M) and Spurs/Clippers (1.1, 1.7M). The NBA games did finish ahead in adults 18-49, each scoring a 0.8 compared to NASCAR’s 0.5.
