Football Hall of Famer, actor and broadcaster Merlin Olsen died on Thursday. He was 69.
Olsen served as an NFL analyst for NBC, and later CBS, calling five Super Bowls (XIII, XV, XVII, XX and XXIII). He also had a successful career as an actor, playing the lead role in the NBC show Father Murphy and having a recurring spot on Little House on the Prairie.
In early 2010, Olsen sued several corporations for exposure to aesbestos, which led to mesothelioma.
