Overnight ratings for the Pac-10 Championship hit the lowest level since the event resumed in ’02.
Saturday’s Washington/California Pac-10 Championship Game drew a 1.7 overnight rating on CBS, down 6% from USC/Arizona St. last year (1.8), and down 29% from UCLA/Stanford in ’08.
The 1.7 overnight is the lowest ever for the current version of the Pac-10 Championship Game.
For perspective, the event drew at least a 2.5 overnight rating from 2002-05.
The Pac-10 Championship finished third among the five NCAA conference championship games that aired on broadcast television over the weekend — behind the Big Ten and SEC, but ahead of the Atlantic 10 and Conference USA.
