Mixed Numbers For Final Weekend of Tour de France
- The final stage of the 2016 Tour de France earned a 0.3 final rating and 489,000 viewers on NBCSN Sunday morning, flat in ratings and down 4% in viewership from last year (0.3, 509K) and flat and up 16%, respectively, from 2014 (0.3, 421K). Stage 20 the previous morning had a 0.3 and 412,000, down a tick in ratings and 28% in viewership from last year (0.4, 571K) but up a tick and a third, respectively, from 2014 (0.2, 310K).
Network Switch Boosts F1 Hungary GP
- Leading into the Tour de France, Formula 1 racing from Hungary earned 477,000 viewers on NBCSN Sunday morning — up 37% from last year on CNBC (349K). That was the largest year-over-year increase of the season, and just the third overall. The race also had a 0.3 final rating.
LPGA Dips From Previous Week
- NBC scored a 0.5 final rating and 709,000 viewers for final round coverage of the LPGA Tour International Crown on Sunday, down 29% in ratings and 32% in viewership from the Marathon Classic on CBS the previous week, which aired later in the day (0.7, 1.0M). On a busy weekend of golf, it trailed both days of the PGA Tour Canadian Open, American Century Championship, and NBC’s third round coverage of the Senior British Open. Keep in mind that, with the exception of the Senior British Open, each telecast aired in a later timeslot.
