Sunday Night Football scored its second straight increase in the metered markets, though the numbers were not particularly impressive.
Green Bay/Washington earned an 11.9 overnight rating on the Week 11 edition of Sunday Night Football, up 2% from Bengals/Cardinals last year (11.7) but down 13% from Patriots/Colts in 2014 (13.6).
The game was NBC’s second straight to post a year-over-year increase, a turnaround after the previous ten declined. Keep in mind last year’s game set a low bar, as its 11.7 overnight was a season-low at the time.
In a weak season for the NFL, the 11.9 overnight ranks as the second-best for any primetime game since Week 3 — behind only Patriots/Seahawks on SNF last week (14.3).
Milwaukee led all markets Sunday with a 42.3 rating, followed by Richmond, VA (23.2), Washington D.C. (22.7), Norfolk, VA (21.6) and Minneapolis-St. Paul (20.8).
