Thursday Night Football pulled a decent overnight rating for an AFC West clash.
The Week 14 Raiders/Chiefs Thursday Night Football game had an 11.8 overnight rating on NBC and NFL Network, up 59% from a 7.4 for Vikings/Cardinals on NFL Network and local affiliates last year (6.2 on NFL Network alone) and up 48% from an 8.0 for Cowboys/Bears on NFL Network in 2014.
The 11.8 overnight is the third-highest for Thursday Night Football this season, behind Cowboys/Vikings the previous week (14.1) and Texans/Patriots on CBS and NFL Network in Week 3 (12.5).
The 11.8 is also tied as NBC’s fourth-best overnight since Week 3, a span of 14 telecasts.
Kansas City led all markets with a 44.4. The Bay Area ranked just ninth at a 15.2, the result of its large market size and split loyalties. Denver (22.5), Sacramento (22.0), Albuquerque (17.7) and Richmond (16.7) rounded out the top five.
