CBS Pursuing Romo As Well
- CBS Sports is pursuing Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo for an analyst position, ESPN.com reported Friday, joining Fox Sports as suitors for the former star. The network is said to be “making a strong push” for Romo, who has no previous broadcasting experience. Despite the interest from TV networks, it is far from clear whether Romo will retire from the NFL. He remains on the Cowboys and there is no indication yet whether he will be traded or cut before next season. (ESPN.com 3.24)
Pierzynzki Joining MLB on FOX
- Fox Sports has hired former MLB C A.J. Pierzynzki as an MLB analyst, it was announced Tuesday. Pierzynzski who served as a guest analyst on Fox Sports MLB Postseason coverage several times this decade, will serve as a game analyst and regularly appear on the MLB Whiparound studio show. He debuts on next Wednesday’s Yankees-Rays telecast on FS1. (Fox Sports)
Kimes Joining Around the Horn
- ESPN writer Mina Kimes will debut as an Around the Horn panelist on Thursday, becoming the 35th panelist on the long-running show and the first new addition since Ramona Shelburne last year. Kimes has been with ESPN since 2014. (ESPN Media Zone 3.28)
