Thursday’s Patriots/Lions tilt earned the league’s highest Thanksgiving overnight in twelve years.
CBS earned a 15.0 overnight rating for the Patriots’ win over the Lions Thanksgiving Day, up 24% from last year’s early game (GB/DET: 12.1, FOX), and up 38% from the early game in 2008 (TEN/DET: 10.9, CBS).
According to CBS, the 15.0 is the highest overnight for an NFL Thanksgiving Day game since Vikings/Cowboys on FOX in ’98 (15.8).
The 15.0 ranks as the 15th highest overnight for an NFL telecast on CBS, FOX, NBC or ESPN this season (57 telecasts, not including Thursday’s Saints/Cowboys game on FOX).
