ESPN to Use Megacast on OSU-Indiana
- ESPN will use its Megacast presentation on next week’s Ohio State-Indiana college football game, the first time it has done so on a regular season broadcast. ESPN will air the traditional TV broadcast, with a “homer” telecast on ESPNU and coach-centric “Film Room” coverage on ESPNEWS. Turner Announces UEFA Deal, OTT Service
- Turner Sports officially announced Thursday that it has acquired rights to the UEFA Champions League and Europa League starting in the 2018-19 season, with the two leagues set to serve as the centerpiece of a new over-the-top streaming service. The bulk of matches will air on the OTT service, with the Champions League semifinals and finals airing on TBS or TNT. NASCAR Reaches Streaming Deal With Twitter
- NASCAR has reached a deal with the social networking website Twitter to livestream in-car camera feeds during its upcoming playoffs. Twitter will not stream the traditional race broadcast, which will be available on NBC’s TV and digital platforms. [NASCAR.com 8.17]
