- As expected, the trade of Kevin Garnett to the Boston Celtics has resulted in the 2007-08 NBA schedule being delayed. The schedule was to be released today. “The Celtics, who now have KG and Ray Allen, will most certainly be given a few more prime-time slots. The actual schedule may not change … but in the east things could be a little different.”
- So much for Barry Bonds attempting to avoid games televised by ESPN. The network has now added four Giants games to its schedule; two home games last Friday and Saturday against the Marlins, and two road games today and tomorrow against the Dodgers.
- NBC Sports has launched SundayNightisFootballNight.com, just the beginning of a six-week “extensive promotional campaign, which … includes television, print, radio and Internet executions and customized content in arenas and stadiums, movie theaters, taxi cabs and even New York City’s Times Square.” The website itself will feature analysis from NBC’s Football Night in America personalities, fantasy sports coverage, and a feature called “Football Night Food”, which will feature recipes from the reality show Top Chef.
