As a disclaimer, I do not profess these comments to represent the prevailing opinion of any group, whether they be sports fans or Americans in general. Additionally, these are the most incendiary comments; there are many comments that, while sharing the same sentiments as the comments documented here, do not quite approach the level of severity.

I wasn’t raised to be a racist, but events of the last years have made me pretty racist.
MLK must be turning over in his grave, this is not what he marched and died for..
We white people don’t understand, do we? Ha-ha….that’s right. We don’t understand why someone is held up as a hero for breaking the law. We don’t understand how someone can make a poor decision and break the law….and then blame it on racism in America.
Folks…white America didn’t force Michael Vick to break the law. He made that decision all on his own…stop making excuses for him.
I live in Philadelphia, the murder capital of the world. Every day at least one black man is murdered. Again, EVERYDAY A BLACK MAN IS MURDERED. How do you expect a culture, which has no regard for its fellow man, to respect the life of a dog?

Wow, who the heck is “you”? To say white people hate the black community in this country is an understatement. And i mean HATE. They hate us for supporting Vick, they hate us (or Sharpton at least) for condemning the Duke boys, and they ahte us for supporting OJ (who’s innocent, btw). That kind of pure and unadulterated HATE on ESPN, its hate speech at its best.
Why are white people celebrating this? Why is this some sort of victory?

HANG VICK LIKE WE USED TO DO TO HIS TYPE A FEW YEARS AGO!!! MAYBE VICK SHOULD HAVE JUST SAID THAT HE HUNG DOGS LIKE WHITES DID TO BLACKS IN THE PAST!!! … ITS ABOUT THE SAME DIFFERENCE — A BLACK MAN vs a DOG is about the same as a WHITE MAN vs a BLACK MAN.

well i’m just glad that it’s all over. It’s a shame that he let this get this far…actually it’s a shame that he did all those terrible things in the first place. I actually stood up for him until I knew whether he was guilty or not. Now that it’s clear that he is, to hell w/ him. This unfortunately is not only an embarassment to all african americans but to humanity itself. Now i have to go burn my Vick Jersey because now the stentch of shame is all over it.
Knowing the fact the is a high profile type gangsta thug he may get a second chance, if not he’ll be on the crack circuit soon after he is out. So much has been given to him and he has done nothing but take. He could keep a real job if his life depended on it. Just another wrong lesson to the little wanna be thugs that are waiting out there to try and blame everyone else for their poor decisions.
PS that apology his lawyer gave for him he didn’t really mean, he a take and can take that and shive it staright up there.
I hope the court has the nads to give him over a year in the pokey heh that rhymes with Hoakie!
48. Vick is toast. He will do time and never set foot on the field again as a player. He screwed with the wrong audiance. The animal rights will keep any team from touching him if he even gets the privileage to be able to try out. They will never sign him again!
Too bad, but thats the way it is when you have this feeling that you are untouchable.
