NFL singleheader hits four-year Week 11 high
Sunday’s NFL singleheader (mostly Cowboys-Lions) averaged a 9.7 rating and 16.76 million viewers on FOX, the highest for the window in Week 11 of the season since 2015 on CBS (10.4, 17.39M).
Ratings increased 20% and viewership 21% from last year on CBS (8.1, 13.80M) and 3% and 7% respectively from 2017 on FOX (9.4, 15.71M).
FOX is now averaging 18.39 million viewers for its Sunday NFL coverage this season, a three-year high.
NASCAR secondary finales mixed; F1 Brazil GP up
Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series finale from Homestead-Miami averaged a 0.7 rating and 1.20 million viewers on NBCSN, up a tick in ratings and 22% in viewership from last year (0.6, 986K), but down a tick and a fraction of a percent respectively from 2017 (0.8, 1.20M).
The previous night’s Truck Series finale had just a 0.24 and 392,000 (-28%) — the smallest audience for that race since at least 2012.
In other racing action, Sunday’s F1 Brazilian Grand Prix averaged a 0.37 (+23%) and 620,000 (+32%) on ESPN2, marking the 17th of 20 races this season to increase over last year. The ESPN networks are now averaging 681,000 viewers for F1 coverage this season, up 22% from last year (557K) and up 25% from 2017 on the NBC family of networks (544K).
Finally, Sunday’s NHRA finale from Pomona (Ca.) averaged 284,000 on FS1 (+19%).
Miscellaneous: PBC Fight Camp, UK hoops, ISU GP
Airing adjacent to NFL coverage, PBC Fight Camp averaged a record 2.44 million viewers on FOX Sunday, surpassing the previous high set last month (2.25M). … Kentucky’s closer-than-expected win over Utah Valley averaged 575,000 viewers on ESPN2 Monday, up 73% from St. John’s-Cal in a similar window last year (333K). … The ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating from Russia averaged a 0.6 rating (flat) and 770,000 viewers (-13%) on NBC Sunday.
