NASCAR sets revised schedule through June 21
NASCAR on Thursday set new dates for five postponed Cup Series races, with Bristol set for May 31 on FS1 (3:30 PM ET), Atlanta June 7 on FOX (3:00), Martinsville June 10 on FS1 (7:00), Homestead-Miami June 14 on FOX (3:30) and Talladega June 21 on FOX (3:00). Martinsville will be a Wednesday night race; the rest are scheduled for Sundays.
In addition to the Cup Series, the revised slate also includes Xfinity Series races at Bristol (May 30 on FS1), Atlanta (June 6 on FOX), Homestead (June 14 on FS1) and Talladega (June 20 on FOX), Truck Series races at Atlanta (June 6 on FOX) and Homestead (June 13 on FOX) and an ARCA Series race at Talladega (June 20 on FS1).
NASCAR is scheduled to resume its season Sunday at Darlington in the first of seven previously announced events in an 11-day span. [NASCAR.com 5.14]
New Preakness date to be announced Saturday
A new date for the Preakness Stakes will be announced during an NBC special on Saturday, the day the race was originally scheduled to take place. The Associated Press and Baltimore Sun reported last week that three potential dates had been set aside: one in July, one in August and one in October.
NBC affiliate WBAL previously reported that the race would be rescheduled for October 3, but organizers denied that any decision had been reached. [NBC Sports PR 5.14]
AMA Supercross resuming May 31 with all events in Utah
The AMA Supercross season will resume May 31 and run through June 21, with all of the remaining events held in Salt Lake City, it was announced Thursday. The series will stage seven races on Sundays and Wednesdays, each of which will be carried by NBC and/or NBCSN. The NBC broadcast network will carry two hours of coverage on May 31 and 90 minutes on June 6. [NBCSports.com 5.14]

CBS NFL analyst Tony Romo will interview QBs Sam Darnold, Josh Allen and Daniel Jones as part of a 30-minute CBS special on May 24. Tracy Wolfson will host. … Eight-to-nine NHL cities are still in consideration as potential ‘hub cities’ for the resumption of the NHL season, including Las Vegas, Edmonton, Toronto, St. Paul and Vancouver, according to The Athletic. Up to 15 had shown interest. … The USTA is exploring alternative plans for the US Open in the event it is unable to be held in Queens, New York, including moving the event to Indian Wells or Orlando, according to multiple reports.
