A day after Sports Illustrated added one big name, the publication loses one of its longest-tenured writers.
Rick Reilly is leaving SI, reports Neil Best of Newsday. ESPN is “considered a probable landing spot” for Reilly, who had been with Sports Illustrated since 1985. Reilly will leave the magazine after his contract expires next month.
Yesterday, Sports Illustrated announced that former ESPN anchor Dan Patrick will join the magazine in January.
