Former NFL coach Bill Parcells is expected to make yet another return to ESPN, where he spent two previous stints as an NFL analyst.
Parcells is “likely” to join ESPN as a part-time NFL analyst, ESPN VP/Communication Mike Soltys told USA Today in an article published Tuesday.
Parcells would primarily work the NFL Playoffs and NFL Draft, making only “occasional” appearances during the regular season.
Previously, Parcells worked as an ESPN analyst during the 2002-03 and 2007-08 seasons. Before joining ESPN, he spent some time in the early 1990s as an NFL analyst for NBC.
Parcells would be just the latest addition to ESPN’s NFL analyst. Since the start of August, the network hired Hugh Douglas, Eric Mangini and Damien Woody, and is expected to announce the hiring of Jerry Rice on Wednesday.
