Overnight ratings dropped by double-digits for both games of the Week 2 NFL doubleheader on CBS.
Sunday’s Week 2 NFL national window, featuring Chargers/Patriots in 74% of TV markets, earned a 15.1 overnight rating on CBS — down 10% from last year (NE/NYJ*: 16.7), and down 2% from 2009 (PIT/CHI*: 15.4).
The game was outdrawn by Sunday Night Football on NBC (PHI/ATL: 15.7), marking the first time since Week 7 last year that the national window has not been the highest rated of the week.
Earlier in the day, regional action including Jaguars/Jets earned a 10.0 overnight, down 11% from last year (MIN/MIA*: 11.2), and down 12% from 2009 (NE/NYJ*: 11.4).
