ESPN earned a 2.2 U.S. rating and 3.646 million viewers for #17 Ohio State/Miami Saturday night, down 12% in ratings and 14% in viewership from last year (CLEM/AUB: 2.5, 4.248M), and down 12% and 9%, respectively, from 2009 (UGA/ARK: 2.5, 4.025M).
The game aired opposite #1 Oklahoma/#5 Florida State on ABC (5.8, 9.307M).
Later in the night, #6 Stanford/Arizona drew a 1.6 and 2.411 million viewers on ESPN.
Big Drop For Penn State/Temple: In the afternoon, ESPN drew a 1.4 and 1.953 million viewers for Penn State/Temple, down 52% in ratings and 54% in viewership from last year (ARK/UGA: 2.9, 4.251M), and down 39% and 41%, respectively, from 2009 (CAL/MIN: 2.3, 3.323M).
Meanwhile, reverse mirror coverage of ABC’s regional window drew a 0.9 and 1.287 million on ESPN.
