The penultimate game of the Rangers/Rays ALDS had a slight rise in ratings on Monday afternoon.
Game 3 between the Rangers and Rays earned a 2.3 U.S. rating and 3.474 million viewers on TBS Monday, up 5% in ratings and down 1% in viewership from the comparable game on the fourth day of last year’s postseason (TB/TEX G3: 2.2, 3.513M), and down 12% and 14%, respectively, from 2009 (LAD/STL G3: 2.6, 4.021M).
Last year’s game aired at 5 PM ET; the 2009 game aired at 6 PM. There was no comparable Monday afternoon game last year.
Locally, the Rays’ loss earned a 16.3 rating in the Tampa-St. Petersburg market and an 11.0 in Dallas-Ft. Worth.
