Overnight ratings were mixed for Week 7 of the NFL season on FOX.
The Week 7 NFL national window, featuring Packers/Vikings in 83% of TV markets, earned a 16.3 overnight rating on FOX Sunday afternoon — up 8% from Week 7 last year (NE/SD*: 15.1, CBS), and down a tick from 2009 (ATL/DAL*: 16.4, FOX).
The 16.3 overnight is the third-highest of the season for the NFL national window, behind only last week (NE/DAL*: 19.1) and Week 1 (NYG/WSH*: 17.1).
The national window was easily the top NFL telecast of Week 7, nearly doubling Sunday Night Football on NBC (IND/NO: 8.2). The national window has earned the top NFL overnight in four of seven weeks this season.
Earlier in the day, regional action featuring Falcons/Lions in 40% of markets drew a 10.1 overnight, down 11% from last year (PIT/MIA*: 11.3, CBS), and down 22% from 2009 (MIN/PIT*: 13.0).
