As surly as Barry Bonds has ever been, Roger Clemens and his steroid saga have made for intriguing television.
Clemens’ 60 Minutes appearance, combined with overrun from the Titans/Chargers NFL playoff game, helped boost CBS to a ratings win on Sunday night. From 8:00 to 8:30 PM last night, 60 Minutes averaged 17.9 million viewers, according to preliminary numbers. The Clemens/Wallace interview began around 8:20 PM, and ended shortly after 8:30.
On the strength of 60 Minutes and Titans/Chargers (which averaged 28 million viewers from 7:00 to 7:30 PM), CBS won Sunday night with an average of 15.3 million viewers.
