For the second time this season, ratings for Notre Dame football on NBC fell to a record low.
Last Saturday’s Navy/Notre Dame game earned a mere 1.1 final rating and 1.724 million viewers on NBC, down 15% in ratings and 8% in viewership from the network’s fifth Notre Dame telecast last year (WMU/ND: 1.3, 1.863M), and down 50% and 46%, respectively, from the fifth such telecast in 2009 (BC/ND: 2.2, 3.438M).
The game ties Air Force/Notre Dame earlier this season as the lowest rated Notre Dame football game ever on NBC.
Prior to this season, the lowest rated Notre Dame game on NBC was Duke/Notre Dame in 2007, which earned a 1.2 rating.
