A 29-4 record is apparently good enough for network television exposure.
The Boston Celtics will make their first appearance on ABC since April of 2005 when they take on the Orlando Magic on January 27. The game will air at 1:00 PM ET as the first game of a double-header, replacing the previously scheduled Phoenix Suns/Chicago Bulls tilt.
Celtics/Magic will also feature the very first appearance of Orlando star Dwight Howard on network television.
Less than a month later, the Celtics will appear on ABC again, when they take on the San Antonio Spurs in a match-up of two of the best teams in the NBA. The game will air at 1:00 PM ET, replacing Nuggets/Cavaliers. Surprisingly, ABC will keep Lakers/Heat as its featured game that day, despite Miami having an 8-28 record.
