Sandwiched between the WNBA and MLB “Sunday Night Baseball,” the women’s final of last week’s U.S. Gymnastics Championships averaged 1.4 million viewers on NBC across a Nielsen-measured linear audience (0.8, 1.34M) and Adobe Analytics — the smallest audience for the women’s final of the event in more than 15 years.
Coverage aired earlier than in previous years to accommodate NBC’s MLB coverage. Viewership trailed both the WNBA lead-in (1.6M) and MLB lead-out (2.1M).
Coverage of the previous day’s men’s competition averaged 799,000.

The women’s final of the U.S. Gymnastics Championships averaged a 1.0 rating and 1.87 million viewers on NBC Sunday night, down from last year’s Olympic year edition and from 2023, both of which featured Simone Biles. Viewership did outperform 2022, when Biles did not compete.
