The season finale of NFL “Thursday Night Football” (Broncos-Chiefs) averaged 21.06 million viewers on Amazon Prime Video Christmas night, marking the largest audience for “TNF” since it moved to Prime Video in 2022. The previous high was 19.39 million for Cowboys-Lions three weeks earlier.
The Broncos’ win, which peaked with 22.90 million in the 9 PM ET quarter-hour, unsurprisingly increased 91% from last year’s “TNF” season finale, which did not take place on Christmas (Seahawks-Bears: 11.05M).
Additional details to come, including for the two other Christmas NFL games that aired on Netflix.

The latest edition of NFL Thursday Night Football (Dolphins-Bills) averaged 16.45 million viewers on Amazon Prime Video, per Nielsen’s “Big Data + Panel” measurement. As it is Nielsen policy to compare “Big Data + Panel” to last year’s panel-only numbers, viewership officially increased 23% over Patriots-Jets last year (13.37M). But compared to last year’s Patriots-Jets “Big Data” figure, which Amazon reported at the time, viewership increased 11% from 14.80 million.
Officially, Dolphins-Bills ranks as the third-most watched TNF game since Amazon acquired rights; using last year’s “Big Data” figures, it ranks fourth.
Continuing a trend that has lasted throughout Amazon’s TNF tenure, viewership continues to trend younger than on the traditional linear networks. Through two weeks, TNF is averaging 3.64 million viewers among adults 18-34 and 8.32 million among adults 18-49, both ranking as the highest of any NFL rightsholder, according to Amazon. The median age of 47.4 remains sharply lower than that of the linear broadcasters (55).
