The Savannah Bananas’ broadcast television debut last Sunday averaged 594,000 viewers on CW, marking the third-largest “BananaBall” audience of the year — behind only ESPN’s games on July 5 and 26.

Saturday’s Savannah Bananas game at Fenway Park in Boston averaged 837,000 viewers on ESPN, making it the most-watched of the team’s five games on the Nielsen-rated ESPN networks. (Keep in mind it was the first of those to air on ESPN rather than ESPN2.)
So far this season, Savannah Bananas games are averaging 540,000 across ESPN and ESPN2.
