- Thanks to a year of extremely high ratings, college football will now be placed on an NFL-like pedestal on ESPN. College Football Live will join NFL Live on weekday afternoons starting next college football season, and will run daily until the National Championship Game.
- The NBA is back with Google, this time on YouTube instead of Google Video. The league now has an NBA Channel on the site, and several videos have already been uploaded. One casualty of the deal might be fan made highlight videos — especially the multitude of NBA Fight videos on the site — as the league now has the option to remove videos that infringe on copyright.
- The NHL is considering distributing its NHL Center Ice package online; the league “would join the National Basketball Association, Major League Baseball and ESPN in offering a companion broadband package to their respective television-based, live-game out-of-market services.“
