- Harold Reynolds v. ESPN: Reynolds attorney “says he and [ESPN] lawyers will ‘conference’ with a Connecticut State Superior Court judge Friday in Hartford. … Reynolds, fired by ESPN in July after 11 years there, will continue to press ESPN for access to his personnel files.” ESPN has not released Reynolds’ personnel files “because it’s protecting the ‘concerns of five young women about (Reynolds’) sexual misconduct.’“
- According to SportsFan Magazine, NBC will air NHL playoff games every Saturday and Sunday of the playoffs — it is unclear if this includes the Conference Finals, which NBC only aired one game from last year. The increased playoff coverage will give the NHL “more network television playoff coverage than the NBA for the first time ever.” Up to eighteen NBA playoff games, and up to fourteen baseball playoff games, will air on network television this year, meaning that the NHL would have to have at least fourteen early round telecasts (two a weekend for seven weeks) on NBC, in addition to the five Stanley Cup Final broadcasts.
