- Dancing With the Stars champion Emmitt Smith will take his talents to ESPN starting next season. The reality show icon will join the network’s Sunday NFL Countdown and Monday Night Countdown pregame show.
- CBS’ NCAA Selection Show drew a 4.7 overnight rating, flat from last year. The networks’ SEC and Big Ten title games were up 23,5% and 10% respectively.
- NASCAR and the NBA Finals are perfect pair? ABC thinks so; the network will air a NASCAR reality show prior to each game of the 2007 NBA Finals. The series “Young Guns” will air at 8:00 PM, prior to each edition of Chevrolet NBA Countdown.
- In a fairly bizarre move, NBCSports.com and SI.com have announced a content sharing deal; the two sports sites will “share video programming, news articles and commentary”. This seems to benefit NBCSports.com the most, as the site is easily eclipsed by the NBC Sports section at MSNBC.com.
