The NHL opened its season in London last weekend, but most television viewers in the U.S. were not very interested.
The Sunday afternoon contest between the Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings game on Versus drew a 0.1 rating, with a 0.0 rating among Men 18-49. The game tied with the PGA Tour Viking Classic on The Golf Channel as the lowest rated sporting event of the week.
It should be pointed out that the game began at noon ET on Sunday, and at 9:00 AM PT in the home cities of Anaheim and Los Angeles. Additionally, the game aired opposite NFL games on FOX and CBS.
Ratings for the NHL on Versus Wednesday night were not immediately available.
