- Brent Musburger: For the first time in several years, the venerable ABC/ESPN play-by-play voice will work a Major League Baseball broadcast on ESPN. Musburger will team with Orel Hershiser for the Brewers/Cubs game on Opening Day. With Musburger now off NASCAR and NBA telecasts, perhaps ESPN is opening the door for him to work baseball on a regular basis.
- Chris Singleton: The former Major Leaguer is joining the ESPN baseball studio team, starting next week. After working radio broadcasts for the Chicago White Sox last year, Singleton will be an analyst on Baseball Tonight this season.
- Gus Johnson: The NCAA Tournament begins today, and one of the fan favorite broadcasters gets increased exposure this year. Exuberant play-by-play voice Gus Johnson will work through the regional finals this year, after only broadcasting through the first two rounds last year. Johnson replaces James Brown, who will not be broadcasting any NCAA Tournament games this season.
