The NBA Playoffs have been a hit on ABC.
Through last weekend, ABC is averaging a 3.4 rating for eight playoff games, up 17% from a 2.9 last year. The 3.4 average is the highest at this point of the playoffs since 2004.
Lakers/Jazz Game 4 finished as the most watched game of the playoffs, drawing 6.2 million viewers on Sunday afternoon. The game drew a 4.1 rating, up 46% from a 2.8 for Pistons/Bulls Game 4 last year.
The previous night, Celtics/Cavaliers Game 3 finished as the only playoff game on ABC to see declining ratings this year. The game, a 108-84 blowout of Boston by Cleveland, drew a 3.2 rating on Saturday night, down 6% from a 3.4 for Suns/Spurs Game 3 last year.
