TNT NBA analyst Charles Barkley’s gambling habits have gotten him in trouble.
The Wynn Las Vegas casino is suing Barkley, after the former NBA star did not “pay back $400,000 in gambling markers the casino alleges it extended him last year.” Barkley “took four $100,000 markers on two consecutive days” in mid-October.
If he does not repay the debt, Barkley could also face felony bad check charges. The district attorney in charge of the case told the Las Vegas Sun that Sir Charles “will be notified of the investigation and given an opportunity to make restitution to Wynn Las Vegas to avoid being charged with a felony.”
Barkley’s gambling problem is well documented. Two years ago, he told ESPN he had lost an estimated 10 million gambling, touching off a minor controversy.
