With the #2 and #4 markets squaring off, it is little surprise ratings were up for Game 1 of the 2008 National League Championship Series.
FOX drew a 6.0/10 overnight for the Phillies’ win over the Dodgers Thursday night, up 3% from a 5.8/11 for Red Sox/Indians Game 1 on FOX last year, which aired on a Friday night. In prime time (8:30-11 PM), the game averaged 6.8 million viewers and a 2.2/6 among adults 18-49, good for a distant fourth-place finish in both categories.
During the 8 and 9 PM hours, FOX finished fifth behind Univision in the adults 18-49 demographic.
In Philadelphia, the game drew a 23.9/35, well ahead of a 9.4/18 in Los Angeles.
