Drama in the AFC East gave CBS solid ratings on Sunday.
Regional coverage featuring Patriots/Bills drew a 12.1 overnight rating on CBS from 1-4:15 PM Sunday, the second-highest NFL overnight of the weekend. Patriots/Bills beat regional coverage on FOX in the same window by 23%.
The late game on CBS, featuring Jets/Dolphins, drew a 9.7/19 overnight, up 11% over an 8.7 for Steelers/Ravens in the same timeslot a year ago, but well behind the 14.3 for Cowboys/Eagles on FOX at the same time.
With Cowboys/Eagles turning into a blowout, CBS drew substantially more viewers for NFL primetime overrun. From 7-7:30 PM, CBS drew 18.6 million viewers for the conclusion of its coverage, while FOX drew 9.7 million for the end of Cowboys/Eagles.
Overall during Week 17, CBS averaged a 10.9 overnight for its doubleheader, while FOX averaged a 12.1.
