Not surprisingly, ratings for the NFC Championship Game dropped from last year’s star-studded game.
FOX drew a 24.0/44 overnight rating for the Cardinals’ win over the Eagles on Sunday afternoon, down 24% from a 31.7/46 for last year’s NFC title game between the Giants and Packers, which aired in the late 6:30 PM window. Compared to the game in the same timeslot last year, the 24.0 is down 12% from a 27.4/48 for the Chargers/Patriots AFC title game.
The 24.0 is the second-lowest overnight for an NFL Conference Championship game since ’06, when Panthers/Seahawks drew a 22.3, and is tied as the fifth-lowest overnight for a Conference Championship game in the past ten years.
