The debut of Terrell Owens‘ new reality show drew solid numbers for VH1.
The debut of The T.O. Show drew a 0.4 rating and 1.2 million viewers on VH1 last Monday night. Despite being the third-highest rated VH1 program of the week, the show finished as the 798th ranked show on cable.
To put the numbers in perspective, The T.O. Show drew the same amount of viewers as the premiere of 4th and Long — the Michael Irvin reality show — on Spike TV earlier this year. The premiere of The T.O. Show also drew fewer viewers than the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest earlier this month (1.3 million).
Compared to actual sporting events, the 1.2 million viewers for The T.O. Show is lower than the average for NBA or MLB regular season games on ESPN. Ratings and viewership for MLB coverage on ESPN opposite The T.O. Show last Monday night are unavailable.
