- CBS has sold nearly 90% of its ad inventory for the upcoming 2009 U.S. Open. There are still slots available “for all rounds, including the men’s and women’s semifinals and finals.” Ads are selling “at rates comparable to last year.”
- The U.S. Court of Appeals ruled on Monday that Delaware’s plan to offer single-game sports betting would violate federal law. Delaware, one of four states exempt from a 1992 ban on sports betting, had planned to institute sports betting in September.
- NBC and U.S. Figure Skating have announced an extension of their television deal through 2014. Under the deal, NBC will continue to televise the U.S. Figure Skating Championships and the Skate America competition each year.
