- FOXSports.com significantly edited the debut episode of its new webcast, Cubed. The original 16-minute episode — featuring uncensored nudity and graphic language — was “pulled” on Friday and replaced with a “a much more politically correct version.” (Sports Business Daily)
- Versus has signed a multiyear deal with NASCAR to air a weekly show about the Chase for the Cup. The half-hour program, titled Quest for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, will debut on Tuesday at 11 PM.
- Versus president Jamie Davis says he “[does] not believe” the dispute between Versus and DirecTV — which resulted in the satellite provider dropping the cable network earlier this month — will be resolved by the start of the 2009-10 NHL season.
