Tiger Woods‘ effect on the ratings was not as pronounced as usual at the Deutsche Bank Championship.
Final round coverage of the Deutsche Bank Championship drew a 2.4/6 overnight rating on NBC Monday afternoon, up a whopping 60% from a 1.5/3 last year, but down 40% from a 4.0/9 in ’07.
Despite the massive increase, the 2.4 ranks as the third-lowest final round overnight in the 6-year-history of the Deutsche Bank Championship. Additionally, this marks only the third time that final round coverage of the event has failed to draw at least 3% of metered market households.
This is the sixth straight PGA Tour event to have at least a 50% increase in overnight ratings, dating back to the Buick Open in early August.
Third round coverage on Sunday drew a 1.9/5 overnight, up 27% from a 1.5/4 last year, but down 32% from a 2.8/7 in ’07.
